“The approach to space has changed radically. COVID was a kind of catalyst for change. Due to the pandemic, employers began to perceive positively the concept of a flexible workplace. Businesses will no longer need a permanent job for all their employees, and a well-adjusted share of sharing can save companies significant rental costs.”
“We have noticed a greater demand for complex workspace solutions, as the purpose of the office has fundamentally transformed – new zones for cooperation, mutual meetings, equipment for hybrid cooperation, spaces for creative work, but also quiet zones for deep concentrated work are all needed,”
Other companies want to get people back to the workplace first and then possibly think of a change. It’s sort of a chicken-and-egg discussion, but the time when offices are not fully occupied is a perfect window of opportunity. Some companies are still waiting or are limited by the decision on a global level.
Monika Younis, Director at Capexus
“Regarding office spaces and their use, we are looking at a hybrid style of work, with employees being able to shift between remote work and working from the office. The need for these types of spaces will continue to exist, even though their design, surfaces, the leasing agreements might change. They are known to foster networking and productivity so I think it is safe to say we will still have offices in the future. “
“What this crisis has shown us is that adaptability and openness to disruptive technologies are key not only in order to survive but to thrive, so I think that the future of real estate is bright for those who step out of the traditional ways and embrace innovation.”
